Bill Jamieson is the Executive Editor of The Scotsman where he writes regularly on finance and economics as well as politics and current affairs. He is also a regular contributor to Scotland on Sunday, Spectator Business and to BBC Scotland, both radio and television.
In 2009 he won Business Journalist of the Year and overall Journalist of the Year in the Scottish Press Awards. He also collected Campaign of the Year Award for The Scotsman for its series of articles on the Lloyds-HBOS merger.
Prior to joining The Scotsman in 2000, he was for seven years Economics Editor of The Sunday Telegraph. In addition to speaking and journalism, Bill has written a number of business books including An Illustrated Guide to the British Economy. He also edited Scotland’s Ten Tomorrows and an Illustrated Guide to the Scottish Economy.
Bill is an accomplished performer on business and economics platforms and speaks with passion and humour on the major business and political issues of the day.
